About Me

I am a homebrewer in the northern suburbs of Fort Worth. I've been homebrewing since July 2009. This blog details the majority of my brewing escapades. I went through a long phase of trying to experiment with the craziest stuff I could do. Now I have a more limited focus on brewing with quality and trying to produce beers I really want to drink. My brewing is increasingly focusing on saisons and sour beer but I mix in a variety of other styles.

I brew on a fairly simple system and primarily brew in small volumes. I have the typical five gallon set up as well as a small kitchen set up that I use to brew 1-3 gallon batches. I have a long term focus on my brewing projects. I have several long term projects and I have long term plans for several other projects. These projects mostly involve sour beer but also include various non-sour beers. Most of these projects are part of larger blending projects. I am planning out brewing projects five years out. You have to, when you are building an inventory of sour beer that takes 1-3 years.

FWIW, I'm also an attorney in north Texas and you can learn more about my law firm at www.kielichlawfirm.com.
